Family and friends continue to ask for prayers for a 17 YO’s recovery after he collapsed Sunday while riding his bike in downtown Covington.
Security cameras from the Southern Hotel on East Boston Street show Phoenix Bigler suddenly lean over before falling to the ground. The collapse has been attributed to an unknown medical issue.
Bigler was airlifted to a New Orleans hospital in critical condition and placed in a medically induced coma.
Bigler was set to begin his senior year at St. Paul’s in Covington, where he plays in the school band. He also plays bass guitar at First Baptist Church.
Phoenix’s mother, Kim Bigler, is the founder of James Samaritan, a non-profit which offers support programs for youth in foster care. A Go Fund Me has been set up in support of this family under The Bigler Family at gofundme.com.
