Entergy has a project this Saturday that will include crossing I-55 between Ponchatoula and Hammond where they are installing new equipment, replacing poles, replacing equipment, and doing additional maintenance.
For safety reasons, this work requires a planned outage for a small area.
Entergy will have proactive messages go out to all customers that will be affected, being sent by Phone, Email, and/or Text, depending on how the customers are signed up to receive notifications.
Areas along I-55 and the I-55 Service Rd., especially along the west side of the interstate from the 10-12 Interchange could be affected.
To help minimize the inconvenience for customers in this area the scheduled outage will be from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
