The Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services is holding a hiring fair this Friday in Kenner for open positions in its Child Welfare Division in the Orleans and Thibodaux regions.
The hiring fair, which DCFS is operating in partnership with the Division of Administration, State Civil Service and Louisiana Workforce Commission, is designed to expedite the hiring process by providing an opportunity for qualified candidates to interview and clear many pre-hiring screenings on-site.
The fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel, New Orleans Airport, 2150 Veterans Memorial Blvd.
Open positions include: Child Welfare Specialist Trainee 1-3 – case-carrying positions in Child Protective Services, Family Services and Foster Care; Child Welfare Team Specialist – non-case-carrying positions, assisting caseworkers.
Any social work or related experience/education is welcome.
