
The State Fire Marshal’s Office has arrested a Springfield man for setting fire to a relative’s mobile home.
30 YO Kenneth Dennis was booked into the Livingston Parish Jail on Wednesday, Nov. 16, on one count of Aggravated Arson.
In the morning hours of Tuesday, Nov. 15, Livingston Fire District #2 responded to a report of a mobile home fire on Clio Landing Road in Springfield. There was one resident inside of the home at the time of the fire, but they escaped uninjured.
Deputies identified multiple areas of origin for the fire including the exit doors and determined the fires were intentionally set.
Following additional investigative efforts, deputies identified Dennis as a suspect in the case. Dennis was a resident of the mobile home, which is owned by his mother.
After obtaining a warrant for Dennis’ arrest, with the assistance of the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office, Dennis was taken into custody the following day.
