In Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard confirmed an arrest in the May 2022 case involving an 8 YO victim.
Sheriff Jason Ard said in May of 2022, LPSO detectives were investigating 2 separate incidents of shots fired in the same location – Pardue Rd in Springfield. The same individual was linked to both incidents.
On September 30th, Jaran Adams was linked to the shooting incident from May 9th. He has also been linked to the May 12th incident in which an 8 YO female was hit by gunfire.
LPSO Detectives collected evidence from the scene. The Louisiana State Police Crime Lab analyzed that evidence. Ard said those results, along with other evidence, connect Jaran Adams to the crime.
21 YO Jaran Adams was processed into the Livingston Parish Detention Center for assault by Drive By Shooting, Illegal Use of Weapons, and 3 counts of Attempted First Degree Murder.
Adams is no longer at the LPDC as he was transported to Tangipahoa Parish Jail on unrelated charges.
