In less than 24 hours, Slidell Police detectives identified and arrested a 16 YO juvenile, who was responsible for shooting a 22 YO man on Monday afternoon.
Shortly after 2pm on Monday (June, 20th), Slidell Police received a 911 call in reference to a subject who was reportedly shot in the 3300 block of Effie Street.
Officers arrived in the area and located a male victim, suffering from a gunshot wound, in an abandoned house.
After issuing over fifteen search warrants and processing multiple different crime scenes, Slidell Police investigators identified the 16 YO suspect and arrested him Tuesday afternoon for one count of Attempted First Degree Murder.
The juvenile has since been transported to the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center.
The incident is still under investigation.
The victim is still hospitalized, but is expected to survive.
