Businessman Bob Dean’s $10 million classic car collection is headed to auction after it was seized by his bankers.
Of course, Dean faces a world of legal trouble over the handling of the evacuation of nursing home residents from facilities he owned prior to the arrival of Ida.
Those residents were housed in a Tangipahoa Parish warehouse in deplorable conditions.
After numerous deaths were reported the state stepped in and revoked Dean’s licenses to operate the facilities.
The CEO of Henderson Auctions said Dean’s 28 cars will be part of an auction of up to 100 classic automobiles.
The Louisiana Attorney General has opened a criminal investigation into last year’s incident and dozens of nursing home residents are suing Dean over conditions in his facilities.
