D.A. Warren Montgomery says he has been defunded by St. Tammany Parish government and he has now put a sales tax proposition on the April 30th ballot.
BGR, The Bureau of Governmental Research, has released a report voicing their support of this tax. The independent report is intended to help St. Tammany voters make an informed decision on whether to approve a parish-wide 0.14% (less than 1/7 of a cent) sales tax to fund criminal prosecutions in the parish.
