The Tangipahoa Parish School System has received one of Louisiana’s highly coveted “Reimagine” School grants.
Tangipahoa Parish School Superintendent Melissa Stilley said her district is one of just 31 systems across Louisiana — and the only one in the five-parish “Northshore” region — to receive this grant.
Stilley said their team has developed an incredible plan to expand college and career opportunities for students in Tangipahoa Parish public schools, and this grant will help them achieve a longtime goal for our community without asking for additional tax dollars to make it a reality.
Stilley said the grant will be awarded in two phases. In the first, the district will receive up to $350,000 for planning and preparation. In Phase II, the district will receive up to $1.5 million for implementation of their newly designed “reimagine” project.
