The City of Covington reported that a water main break occurred earlier on Wednesday while a private utility company was boring in Covington.
A city-wide boil water advisory was placed into effect.
This advisory applies to City of Covington water service customers.
Public Works repaired the water main break in the evening.
Water samples from across the city will be submitted to LDH first thing this morning. If negative for contamination, this city will lift the Boil Water Advisory. Until then, it remains in effect.
