
DA Warren Montgomery reports that this week a St. Tammany grand jury indicted 60 YO Robert Allen Morgan of Slidell on multiple charges involving sex crimes against juveniles.
This case initially involved two child victims.
The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s office issued a press release regarding Morgan’s arrest. Upon learning of the press release, an adult came forward and disclosed that they were also a victim of abuse by Morgan when they were a child.
The DA thanks the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office – Special Victim’s Unit for their outstanding investigation in this case.
A St. Tammany Parish grand jury also returned an indictment against three men for the murder of a Pearl River man. 20 YO Amarjaye Artemus Thomas from Slidell was indicted for second degree murder, two counts of obstruction of justice by tampering with evidence and possession of firearm by a person convicted of certain felonies. 23 YO Brock Christopher Bozant of obstruction of justice by tampering with evidence and as an accessory after the fact. And 19 YO Jawaun Jaylin Gaines of obstruction of justice by tampering with evidence.
Winston Harbin of the St. Tammany Sheriff’s Office, Major Crimes Unit investigated the case and Assistant District Attorney Tiffany Dover presented the case to the Grand Jury.
