St. Tammany Parish Government will host an informational public meeting on Wednesday, January 26th at 4:30pm in the Parish Council Chambers to discuss an update to “New Directions 2040” – the St. Tammany Parish Comprehensive Plan.
During the first hour (4:30pm-5:30pm), the public will have the opportunity to review plan materials, including the Plan’s draft vision, goals and strategies, and displays of the draft Future Land Use Map, and speak directly with project team staff.
An informational presentation to the Parish Council will take place at 5:30pm, followed by a question and answer period.
This informational public meeting will mark the start of a 30-day comment period, in which residents, business and other stakeholders will be able to submit written comments to the Parish about the draft plan.
Print copies of the draft plan will be available at the meeting and an electronic copy will be available for download at the project website, www.newdirections2040.com.
Following the 30-day comment period, the project team will address all comments in a revised Draft Plan for consideration by the project’s Steering Committee and Planning and Zoning Commissions.
