Yesterday New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell was officially sworn in for her second consecutive term as mayor.
Her message: the best is yet to come.
Cantrell spoke about the city’s recovery from the pandemic, and praised the NOPD’s work in fighting crime constitutionally under the Consent Decree.
She said improving the quality of life for residents in the city was her top priority.
The returning mayor will see new faces in the New Orleans City Council as she starts her second term.
