The Omicron surge continues to break records.
On Friday LDH reported 14,802 new #COVID cases, breaking the single-day pandemic record again.
Since 12/30, Louisiana has broken this single-day record THREE times and LDH says we will likely do so again.
These increases are attributable to the #Omicron variant, which spreads faster than other variants and is now the dominant strain in the state. LDH says we have to work together to get out of this surge. Wear your mask, limit exposures, get the safe and effective #COVID19 vaccine, and get boosted, if eligible.
