North Oaks and Southeastern Louisiana University have further enhanced their partnership with the opening of a new outpatient rehabilitation clinic within the Pennington Student Activity Center, located at 1350 N General Pershing St. in Hammond.
Hours of operation are 8:30 a.m.-6:15 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
The 1,980-square-foot clinic has been outfitted with rehabilitative equipment geared toward the unique needs of athletes, such as a top-of-the-line squat rack with multiple accessories, Rogues’ “The Difference” striking machine, an Alter-G anti-gravity treadmill and Game Ready cryotherapy system.
Patients will be referred by Dr. Katy Morris and Dr. Jeffrey Witty, orthopaedic surgeons who also specialize in sports medicine injuries. Morris serves as medical director of both North Oaks Sports Medicine and the Southeastern Athletics Sports Medicine program, while Witty is medical director of North Oaks Rehabilitation Services and a team physician for Southeastern Athletics. Both practice with North Oaks Orthopaedic Specialty Center, which has clinic locations in Hammond and Livingston.
