Expect a packed Armstrong International Airport today and tomorrow if you are flying for the holidays.
It is the first major travel period for the new terminal since COVID began to subside, and nationally air travel numbers are expected to be close to pre-pandemic levels.
MSY Director of Communications Erin Burns says travelers should come prepared and on time. And a mask mandate is still in effect for airports until January 18th of 2022.
The new terminal opened just months before the start of the pandemic and for many travelers this will be their first time seeing it.
