Southeastern Louisiana University’s Office of Military and Veteran Success will host Veterans Week Nov. 8 – 12 to celebrate veterans and military families.
Office of Military and Veteran Success Director and U.S. Air Force Veteran Matthew D. Watkins says Veterans Week at Southeastern is a week that we all reflect on the sacrifices that these men and women have made for our country and say thank you to all military members, veterans, spouses and dependents.
All events are open to the public and are scheduled as follows: Mon., Nov. 8, bowling at Tangi Lanes, 4 p.m.; Tues., Nov. 9, flight simulator at Hammond Regional Airport, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Wed., Nov. 10, Veterans Luncheon at Wesley Foundation, 12 p.m.; Thurs, Nov. 11, celebration in the Student Union Park, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Fri., Nov. 12, Army ROTC versus Veterans flag football game in Strawberry Stadium, 1 to 3 p.m.
