
The Community Music School at Southeastern Louisiana University will present a concert titled “Shining Stars” on Saturday, Nov. 6, at 10:30 a.m. in Pottle Music Building Auditorium.
The concert will feature the eight winners of the CMS Concerto Competition as soloists and the CMS Strings Orchestra accompanied by the Southeastern Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Orchestra Director and Assistant Professor of Violin Victor Correa-Cruz.
Director of the Community Music School Jivka Duke said the winners for the same concerto competition who placed first through fourth will be honored as soloists with the Southeastern Symphony Orchestra on Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. in Pottle Auditorium.
They will perform violin concertos by Mozart, Bach, Beriot and Vivaldi.
