
The SBA continues to offer disaster assistance by way of low-interest Federal loans to those affected by the hurricane.
The Springfield (Livingston Parish) Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) opened this week.
Additionally, FEMA has approved the State’s request to extend the application deadline for physical damage to Nov. 28.
SBA offers low interest, long term loans to businesses of all sizes, private non-profit organizations, homeowners and renters who need help to recover from the storms. We can lend up to $200,000 to homeowners to make repairs to their primary residences and up to $40,000 to help homeowners and renters replace their personal property.
As of yesterday, in Louisiana, the SBA has approved 15,945 loans totaling $797,968,500. This includes 1,287 loans totaling $59,049,990 in Saint Tammany Parish.
In addition to physical locations, they currently have Virtual Recovery Centers open at this time. This can be accessed online at https://disasterloanassistance.sba.gov.
