Any action on Louisiana’s indoor mask mandate is expected early next week.
Gov. John Bel Edwards held his weekly radio show on Wednesday.
Edwards said it is too soon to say whether he will drop the statewide indoor mask mandate, especially in schools, but will announce a decision sometime next week.
The statewide mask mandate for all public indoor locations is set to expire Oct. 27.
Edwards also commented on the Louisiana superintendent’s decision to allow schools to have alternative quarantine protocols. Edwards said he did not agree with Superintendent Cade Brumley on the move, calling it a mistake.
