At the Livingston Parish Council meeting, Parish President Layton Ricks informed the council that he will draft an ordinance to set up some guidelines and laws for Tiki Tubing in Denham Springs.
This comes after two people have died this summer while tubing. And on one weekend, more than a dozen people had to be rescued.
President Ricks says there’s not much he can do to regulate Tiki Tubing in Denham Springs, saying his hands are tied. But he said he is looking to put an ordinance in place that will set some ground rules to keep everyone safe while they are on the water.
