The Tangipahoa Parish Council will consider calling for an election Nov. 13 to access a 5-mill, 10-year tax for Hospital Service District 2, the base for Hood Memorial Hospital in Amite.
The proposed election is one of numerous items on the agenda for the council meeting today, starting with public hearings at 5:30 p.m. at the Tangipahoa Parish Government Building in Amite.
The public hearings will also address the operating and capital outlay budget for parish government and the repealing of certain sections of codes.
