The Covington Police Department is investigating after a bicyclist was hit by a car that fled after the incident.
Around 12:52 p.m. on Monday police were dispatched to North Florida Street and West Jessie Jones Street.
Police say once first responders arrived, first aid was given to the bicyclist who was then taken to an area hospital for treatment of critical injuries. The vehicle sought in connection with the hit-and-run is described as a white utility van.
