The second annual Bluesberry Festival, which was postponed in 2020 due to COVID-19, will return to Covington, Louisiana on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 9AM to 6PM with a stellar lineup of regional and national talent.
Headlining this full-day celebration of blues music and the arts is Grammy-nominated artist Cedric Burnside, a Mississippi native well known for his Hill Country blues style. Other featured performances at this year’s festival include Band of Heathens, Eric Johanson, Ally Venable Band, Johnny Hayes, Tyler Kinchen & The Right Pieces, and JL Fulks.
Set in Downtown Covington’s riverside Bogue Falaya Park, Bluesberry Festival is a perfect escape for music and art aficionados who want to “experience” the arts amidst Southeast Louisiana’s natural landscape.
In addition to a diverse music lineup, the festival features live art demonstrations, 35+ talented artists from across the region who will be selling their original work, and the Cleco Children’s Village, where kids can create their own original works of art.
The festival will also feature a food truck roundup with local cuisine from mobile eateries like Pyre, Rue Chow, Old School Eats, Coffee Rani, YumYum Gimme Sum, Isabella’s Pizzeria and more! Each will serve up their signature dishes, but also put a blueberry spin on some old favorites.
General admission to the festival is $25, and free for children ages 10 and under.
For patrons who like to fest in cool comfort, a limited number of Fidelity Bank-NOLA Lending VIP Package tickets ($65) are also available, and include all-day food and drinks, tented seating, plus a prime view of the main stage.
