The St. Tammany Sheriff’s Office is working a two vehicle crash, which occurred Thursday evening, near Covington.
Shortly after 5:30 p.m. Thursday, STPSO deputies were dispatched to the area of Charlene Lane and Carol Lane near Covington, in reference a crash involving two juveniles. The crash occurred when a 2004 GMC truck, driven by a 14 year old female, collided with a 2002 Yamaha dirt bike being operated by a 9 year old male.
The operator of the dirt bike sustained extensive injuries and was airlifted to a Southshore hospital. He was listed in stable condition, as of last night.
The crash remains under investigation.
