Tangipahoa Parish President Robby Miller said Tuesday that the Governor’s latest orders in the state’s response to COVID-19 are cause for optimism.
Going into effect on Wednesday, this order lifts the mask mandate for Louisiana except for schools, state buildings, and health care facilities.
Miller said we have all become more aware of the importance of hand washing and limiting exposure to others when we are sick. He said he believes and trusts citizens to make the best decisions to protect themselves and their neighbors as we move forward, without a mask mandate for Tangipahoa. Miller also offered words of thanks to Gov. Edwards for making this decision.
