
The National Weather Service survey team has so far confirmed two tornadoes from Thursday morning’s storms.
According to the survey team, an EF-0 tornado formed around 1:20 a.m. about six miles east-northeast of Watson in Livingston Parish. The report says the tornado touched down around 1:20 a.m. and was only on the ground for a minute, traveling 0.122 miles. It touched down behind a house and tore its carport off and lifted most of the roof off.
In Hancock County, an EF-0 tornado was reported about seven miles north of Pearlington with maximum winds of 75 mph. The tornado touched down around 3:26 a.m., according to the report, and was only on the ground for a minute, traveling 0.7 miles. It knocked down trees and damaged a guard gate.
Some wind damage was reported in parts of St. Tammany. The NWS reports limbs downed and light tree debris in the Madisonville Oaks neighborhood. There were also a few snapped limbs and scattered tree debris along Hwy 22 in Madisonville.
