
Yesterday, the Louisiana Department of Health reported 750 new #COVID19 cases.
Of those cases, 508 were confirmed cases and 242 were probable cases. 97% of the cases reported were community spread. 3% were in congregate settings. Individuals between the ages of 18 and 29 (18%) and 30 and 39 (19%) accounted for the largest portions of the cases. There were18 more deaths reported, bringing the current total death count to 9,686.
There were 554 people in hospitals and 74 required ventilators.
The Department is reporting an additional 92,303 COVID-19 vaccinations administered since the last update. The state has now administered 1,117,714 doses, including 404,653 completed two-dose series. In our Region 9, 8.7% people have been vaccinated. In Region 1, which is NOLA, that number is 10.1%.
