
The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested the homeowner following a December 2020 home invasion, after detectives located drugs, cash and weapons inside the residence during the investigation.
On December 8, 2020, deputies were called to a residence in the 28000 block of Palmer Drive in reference to a shooting. The homeowner told deputies he shot at four men after the men entered his home armed with guns. The two surviving perpetrators are now facing murder charges.
Detectives with STPSO Narcotics Division were called in after drugs were located inside the residence during the initial investigation. Warrants were issued for the arrest of Bryan Joseph Palmer on numerous charges including Possession with intent to distribute marijuana, authorities say they found approximately 21.2 pounds with an estimated street value of $96,000.
On February 17, Palmer was taken into custody at the Slidell Law Enforcement Complex and marijuana was located inside his vehicle. On this same day, STPSO Narcotics detectives conducted a second search of his residence. This time, detectives located and seized approximately 8.37 pounds of marijuana with an estimated street value of $37,000, unlawfully possessed pills; six firearms; three counterfeit $20 bills; and $24,431in cash believed to be proceeds from drug offenses. As a result more drug charges have been added to the original ones.
