More than 600 people received their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine in Jefferson Parish on Monday. Parish leaders partnered with InclusivCare, which operates several community clinics, for the first mass vaccination drive of its kind in the area. Sheng said her team is ready to host more mass distribution drives when the vaccine is made available to the general public, adding that the Alario Center could be used to help in those efforts.
