Pedestrian Killed On I-10 At Causeway Blvd

A person was struck and killed Monday morning on Interstate 10 eastbound at Causeway Boulevard. State police say the person was trying to run across the interstate when they were struck and killed by a vehicle traveling on the road. The incident happened at 9:30 a.m. The initial investigation revealed that an unidentified white male was walking eastbound on I-10 near Causeway Blvd. At the same time, a 2017 Ford Focus and a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu were both traveling eastbound on I-10 in the area of Causeway Blvd. For reasons still under investigation, the unidentified man attempted to cross the eastbound lanes of I-10 and was struck by both vehicles.
