There’s action at the North Shore Square Mall site. A former anchor spot in the mall will be occupied by a mini-storage. Last week the City Council approved a conditional use permit to return the former Dillard’s site to commerce as warehouse space. Mayor Greg Cromer has tried to attract new business to the mall. Star Slidell LLC came forward with the proposal to transform the mall’s 40,000-square-foot department store space into a mini-storage. Dillard’s sold the location for the mini-storage to Star Slidell in September for $1,125,000.
