Sentencing in Drug Case

DA Scott Perrilloux reports that 47 YO Alton Pines, of Ponchatoula, LA, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute schedule I controlled dangerous substances- heroin, and two counts of possession with intent to distribute schedule I controlled dangerous substances. Alton Pines was sentenced to 15 years with the department of corrections. Agents with the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division conducted undercover controlled purchases of marijuana and heroin from a male, later identified as Alton Pines. Pines had been the center of an ongoing narcotics investigation suspected to be distributing heroin and marijuana in the area.
