Beginning now, all eligible, qualifying businesses applying for the state’s Main Street Recovery Program will be reviewed. Priority will no longer be given to businesses that did not receive federal money from the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) or the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) Program. State Treasurer John Schroder says that the first round of checks has been sent out and plenty of money remains. Schroder said almost $14 million of the fund is obligated, leaving more than $261 million still available. If you did received PPP and/or EIDL funds and have already applied for the Louisiana Main Street Recovery Grant Program, your application should now be in the review process.
