The numbers reported yesterday represented the biggest single-day increase in coronavirus deaths in Louisiana since May 1. 60 more deaths were reported yesterday, bringing Louisiana’s total to 3,558 since the pandemic began. The Louisiana Department of Health reported 2,802 new cases yesterday. 92% of the cases reported were community spread. 32% of the cases were among people 29 years old and younger. 1,581 people are hospitalized, with 188 on vents.
