The vast majority (96.9%) of these cases are tied to COVID spreading in communities, rather than congregate settings like nursing homes.
2,901 individuals were hospitalized with COVID across Louisiana, the highest number at any point since the beginning of the pandemic.
The update represents increases across all regions and age groups.
54 new COVID deaths were reported.
