Laura Thomas, a woman who went missing over the weekend, was located and transported to a local-area hospital where she was evaluated by medical personnel.
The extent and severity of her injuries are unknown.
STPSO wanted to thank the public for their assistance in locating the missing Covington woman.
At approximately 9pm on Friday night STPSO deputies began searching the Tchefuncte River for a woman who was reportedly missing. Members of the STPSO Operations Division, La Dept. Of Wildlife and Fisheries as well as the U.S. Coast Guard and others were involved in the search. Laura Thomas, of Covington, was last seen in the area north of the Three Rivers Boat Launch, on a black and gold personal watercraft.
