Yesterday, the Louisiana Department of Health reported 558 new #COVID19 cases bringing the total number of cases reported to the state to 439,543.
Of the new cases, 397 were confirmed and 161 were probable. 99% of the cases reported were community spread. Individuals between the ages of 30 and 39 (21%) and ages 18 and 29 (18%) accounted for the largest portion of the new cases. 19 deaths were reported to the state, bringing the current total death count to 9,974.
There were 414 people in hospitals and 67 required ventilators.
The Department reported an additional 97,958 COVID-19 vaccinations administered since the last update. The state has now administered 1,516,763 doses, including 568,968 completed two-dose series.
