There were power outages in Washington Parish as well. Some damage was reported north and east of Franklinton. Numerous trees and powerlines were down, mostly north and east of Franklinton.
Highway 190 West in Slidell was closed due to related storm damage, according to Slidell Police. A large tree fell onto the highway at Harrison Road as the result of severe weather moving through the area. The roadway was reopened about two hours later.
