
Yesterday, the Louisiana Department of Health reported 2,758 new #COVID19 cases.
Of those cases, 1,236 were confirmed and 1,522 were probable. Yesterday’s report included a backlog of 844 cases (120 confirmed and 724 probable). 98% of the cases reported were community spread. 2% were in congregate settings. Individuals between the ages of 18 and 29 (21%) and between the ages of 30 and 39 (16%) accounted for 36% of the new cases. 38 new deaths were reported bringing the current total death count to 9,044. There are now1,295 people in hospitals with 162 requiring ventilators. The Department is reporting an additional 47,280 COVID-19 vaccinations administered since the last update. The state has administered 534,985 doses, including 130,978 completed two-dose series.
