The Hammond Rotary Club says the 11th annual 5k/10k Shamrock Run for Charity will be held at a new venue, the Louisiana Renaissance Fairgrounds on River Rd, in Hammond on March 13th. Participating runners should expect more rigorous terrain. The Shamrock Run 5k/10k and 1 mile fun run will be offered as both an in-person race and virtual. Virtual runners will have the chance to run at their own pace, away from crowds or with a small group of friends and post their progress and times through the site.
Everyone is welcome at the event and afterparty on March 13th, however, the after party will look a bit different this year. The Club is committed to keeping our runners safe, therefore, food and drinks will be packaged and handed out individually. Medals will be given to both virtual and present runners for the 5K and 10K. Tee shirts and race packets will be picked up in advance.
