Next week the conversation will continue about the potential relocation of the Medline Distribution facility from St Tammany to Tangipahoa Parish.
The upcoming events are scheduled to be held at City Council Chamber on E. Charles St. On Monday, Nov 16 at 5 pm, the Planning and Zoning Board will hold a public meeting to vote on the recommendation to rezone 41 acres at 2100 Industrial Park Rd from single-family residential to light industrial. On Monday Nov 23 at 5:30 pm, the City Council will vote on the introduction of an ordinance to rezone the 41 acres on Industrial Park Rd. There could be additional action to annex the 17 acres as recommended by Planning and Zoning. Then on Tuesday December 8 at 5:30 pm, the City Council could possibly vote to approve/adopt the final ordinance rezoning 41 acres.
These dates and times are subject to change based on what happens in these meetings. Medline is seeking to build a distribution facility on Industrial Park Road where it meets Vineyard Road.
