St. Tammany Parish President Mike Cooper announced that a bridge replacement project on Black River Drive in Black River Estates subdivision in the Madisonville area will begin November 2. This $759,582 investment is expected to be complete in May of 2021. Residents who live North of the Bridge on Black River Drive and visitors to Black River Estates who wish to get to this area, should plan to use an alternate route. Access through Black River Drive from Highway 22, beginning November 2, 2020 will be open only to residents who live South of the Bridge. Brown Industrial is the contractor for this project.
