This weekend the City of Mandeville joined the Liberto family in marking the one-year anniversary of Captain Liberto’s murder with a balloon release. Black & Blue for the Law Enforcement and Scarlet & Gold for the U.S. Marine Corps.
Given the ongoing Covid restrictions they elected not to publicize the event out of concerns it would draw significant crowds. The family says thank you to the community of Mandeville & beyond, for continued love and support. Mandeville leaders say they have stood with the Liberto family as they and the community deal with the first loss of a police officer in more than 60 years.
