The Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office says on Tuesday, July 28, deputies were dispatched to James Chapel Rd in Holden in reference to a possible death. New information leads deputies to suspect foul play in the case. Sheriff Jason Ard says the body was in poor condition due to decomposition. It is believed the body had been at that location for approximately a week. An autopsy revealed more details. The victim is believed to be a male in his early 40s. The cause of death was determined to be from a gunshot wound. Detectives are now attempting to positively identify the victim.
