The Louisiana Department of Transportation say there will be intermittent and alternating lane closures on I-55 near the Ponchatoula Exit (Mile Point 26), weather permitting, while crews perform high mast lighting operations.
Traffic will be maintained through the work zone at all times. I-55 Northbound: Monday, July 27, through Friday, August 7, from 7 PM to 3 PM. On I-55 Southbound starting Monday, July 27, through Friday, August 7, from 9 AM to 5 AM.
Wide loads will be restricted to 12’ through the work zone. Emergency vehicles will have access.
Motorists traveling on I-55 North may take US 51 Business North (Exit 23) to I-12, then west to re-intersect I-55. Motorists traveling on I-55 South may take I-12 East to US 51 Business South (Exit 40) to re-intersect I-55.
