At approximately 12:45 PM yesterday, the Covington Police Department responded to a home invasion and sexual assault in the W 18th Ave & N Tyler St area. Detectives were searching for the suspect, described as a short black male with a face mask, possibly wearing a light green or dirty white shirt, and dark pants, believed to be riding a bicycle.
Anyone in the area that may have seen the suspect, or has video surveillance, is asked to contact the Covington Police Department at 985 892 8500.
The Covington Police Department also has an app called “Covington PD”, which allows citizens to submit tips completely anonymous. The Covington PD app is available for free in the Apple iTunes App Store or Google Play Store. Tips can also be sent through Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 where callers always remain anonymous and may earn a cash reward for information leading to an arrest or prosecution.
