On Wednesday, July 8, Troopers and Task Force Officers from the Louisiana State Police Narcotics/Violent Crimes task force seized over 5,300 “high grade” marijuana plants and multiple pounds of processed marijuana with an estimated street value of over seven million dollars. The illegal narcotics were taken from two grow houses in St. Tammany and one in Orleans. Four suspects have been arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail on multiple charges related to the illegal narcotics operation. As a result of a month’s long investigation targeting members of a drug trafficking organization, Troopers and Officers from the task force executed six search warrants in St. Tammany and Orleans Parish. Agents also seized a small amount of cocaine, two vehicles, two firearms, and approximately $75,000 in US Currency.
Subsequently, Hung Q Nguyen, Phi Q. Nguyen, and Tuan Q. Nguyen were each arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail on numerous charges.
