It is a big weekend for parades in Slidell.
Slidell Police remind everyone there is no parking on the parade route 12 hours before and 12 hours after a parade.
What does this mean for this weekend? Parade Schedule: Friday, February 14th: Krewe of Titans – 6:30pm; Saturday, February 15th: Krewe of Poseidon – 6:00pm; and Sunday, February 16th: Krewe of Antheia – 1:00pm. You may begin parking along the parade route at 6:30am on Friday, February 14th. Since there are three (3) parades this weekend, once you establish a parking spot on Friday, you may remain parked until Monday morning.
You CANNOT park on the improved/paved shoulder of the road leading up to, or during the parade.
If you park in a private parking lot, you must have permission from the property owner.
When parking your vehicle close to a side street, you cannot obstruct the view of other vehicles turning onto the main roadway.
Parade parking is the number one complaint every year. Slidell Police will be monitoring this situation closely and will be enforcing the listed parking laws.
