The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises the traveling public that new traffic signals have been installed on LA 445 at its interchange with I-12 in Tangipahoa Parish.
The new signals will begin permanent cycles at 9 a.m. on Monday, December 16.
All of the signal timing will be monitored once the signal becomes fully operational and will be adjusted as necessary based on traffic conditions at the ramps and along LA 445. The new traffic signals will help control the flow of traffic and serve to reduce delays for those wishing to exit from I-12 onto LA 445 in Robert, LA, particularly during peak travel times. The signals will also improve safety by stopping through traffic on LA 445 to allow drivers to safely turn off the interstate ramps rather than waiting for a gap in vehicles.
Motorists are urged to be aware of the change in traffic configuration, and be prepared for possible congestion as the timing for the new signals is adjusted.
